I just received this folder this week and have had a heck of a time photographing it. I get the photos on the computer and I see dust or other debris and getting the hamon to show was hard too.
It is a commissioned piece by John Doyle in Michigan.
Specs are as follows:

7 1/4" open, 3 1/4" blade, 4 1/4" closed
W2 steel blade with hamon, .115" thick at the plunge line, full distal taper, Rounded spine
Rounded, filed thumb grip
.060" titanium jeweled liners
Desert Ironwood scales
Titanium pivot and handle screws
Bronze backspacer with lanyard pin
Bronze thumb stud

I am really happy with the way it turned out

Peter

Lots to like there Peter. That pivot screw is way cool. Oh and it's got ironwood scales. LOL!

Nice looking folder, and interesting as well. Nice iron wood to boot. I like it.

I'm not a fan of flippers or liner locks but everything else about that knife has me all wiggly inside.

Very nice.

ETA: Everything about that knife says "lefty", btw.

Great looking knife. I, like Warren, really like the pivot pin.

You going to carry it hiking?

Thanks guys, I really like John Doyle's work, and have another fixed blade on the schedule

you can call me lefty smile

Rod, this won't be carried hiking as it would get all scratched up. I am going to get a leather belt pouch made for it and will post photos when I get that, but I want to play with it before I send it out for leather

Cool knife!

Quite an unusual clip, short.
How it works, good?
