Not sure this is the right thread for my Model 10-3... I have the blade shape I wanted, and the rosewood scales..and workmanship is top notch.

No..what I have a problem with is blade length. The overall length on my 10-3 is 6 3/8", which is standard for the 10-3.

The problem with my model 10-3 is that it has the blade and handle lengths are reversed....it has a 3 3/8" blade and a 3" handle ! Now... I was using a ruler that was made in China to get my measurement's...so I switched to a Lufkin tape measure and alas, I got the same measurement's.

I haven't used my Model 10-3...you sorta have to grip it with your finger tip's...not a very secure grip. I wonder if this is a 'one of a kind'...anyone else have one of these Model 10-3's with a 3 and 3/8" blade and a 3" handle ?

Rex,

LOL! Both your wooden ruler and your steel Lufkin tape are made in China. So you're right back to where you started. grin

Mine is a drop point, has a 3 1/8 handle and 3 1/4 inch blade, it's definitely a three finger grip but if you use a lanyard you can loop it back over a couple of Ingres and get a really secure grip, or put a thick short lanyard on the end and it extends the handle length effectively.
