Lori's Stanaback Special

Lori's Stanaback Special - 12/04/19 09:26 PM

This one's on the way home from the engraver, then off to the scrimshander. This one is Lori's, the scrim subject will be a squirrel, so we selected oak leaves and acorns for the pattern. To me, Dave Perdue's work is awesome!

Thanks Warren, I've tried all night trying to figure out resizing with no luck (cell phone only) Gonna have to sit down in front of the desktop I guess

Wally,

Great choice of a RMK...a Stanaback Special has all the bell's and whistles..just my opinion.

Wally,

This was done by phone. I use an image resizing app.

Lori and Wally

I think Perdue’s work is excellent. The work really adds to the knife.

Will be interested to see if Perdue still numbers all his pieces. Probably on the hilt somewhere.

Warren, per the website it states it will be numbered and entered into his log book.

Long time ago I had #61 I think? Good to see he's kept it up.

Wally & Lori,
Thanks for sending me the pic earlier. Unfortunately I am experiencing internet problems from hell! NOBODY can figure it out. I cannot get online the majority of the time...BUT...Great knife project you have going on! Glad to be a part of it.
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

Warren, it came in today, #184.

Re: Lori's Stanaback Special - 12/09/19 08:25 PM

Awesome. Consider the fact that I bought #61 over 9 years ago and it was through a purveyor. There's no telling when it was actually engraved without contacting Perdue. Fact is he's fairly rare considering the time frame.
Do the math, great job.

No need to etch the blade, the world knows that this is Lori's knife. smile

By the time the scrim is done, it should be ingrained in everyone's memory...
