"Like" button would be useless, there should be a "To Die For" button... at the very least

It would be nice, but the condition leaves a little to be desired.

Bernie,

Great grab! I saw that listing two days after you had bought it. The grind is identical to the knife that came up on the Nordic Knives website in June of 2006:

The only differences were (1) That one had two pins and (2) The accompanying sheath had metal snaps and oversized throat rivets indicating it was one of the first made post war. Of interest is the small stamp on your knife which I believe only lasted a month or so after the war on 6" Model 3's and 7" Model 3's & 4's. Given that metal snaps transitioned to translucents in June or July of '46, the "born on" date for your knife is pinned down pretty well.

Another case of Sherlock caliber sleuthing grin

Sorry Burnie, I don't even know you but now I'm going to have to hate you. I sent that seller an I'll take it" email only to get the reply that it "shipped yesterday". Just my typical bad luck and timing. Seriously though, a big congratulations on that one. I was really riding high there for a while before I crashed and burned.
