Nice Knife John..

Forgive my ignorance.. Is that called just "swell center"??

Re: Coffin Jack - 11/12/07 08:36 AM

Thats a good question Bob...and I dont really have an answer.
There is a Whittler made in that frame as well. You like it?

Re: Coffin Jack - 11/12/07 11:44 AM

To Me it kind of looks like a mix between an Eisenhower and a Congress. I can honestly say that I haven't found a Bose knife that I don't like.. Although the toenail is probably my least favorite pattern ...

It's hard to pick. The barehead knife has an old school, turn of the century look whereas the capped model has a WWII era look. I can't choose...I likem both

Yeh,I like 'em both ,too.I think I saw a barehead dog leg jack on the new website, that is interesting, too.
I recently saw a picture of a barehead coffin by Tony, that had no closed channel on the smaller blade,it looked like that set up,would be a bit lighter, too.
Anyone would be very lucky to own one,of either pattern,in any configuration.
Here is a question for Tony.Tony, did you ever have a request for a dog leg in a shadow pattern?
A bit off the wall, but I fantasize about these things you know.

I have never made a dogleg in a shadow that I can remember. Interesting thought though.
