Pretty Old I’d say Bob when it come to Bose Knives, Mid to late 80’s
You can tell from the larger pin in the middle next to the bolster and the nail nicks. The nicks are ground in with a cut off wheel instead of cut in with a mill. Also the flute in the bolster is an older style, I would guess the bolsters are nickel silver. Plus there weren’t many shields put in then. Love the knife

Thanks Guys,

John, what you are saying makes sense considering there are very light scratches along the swedge area and near the edge. It has been well cared for. It is hard to tell, but it may have had some light use. But, there is no lint inside the handle to speak of... I really like the knife though and am not planning on selling it.

The stag doesn't seem to be consistant with the grade that Tony and Reese are using now. This is lower contrast stuff.

All stag is not the same and a maker does the best he can with what he has. I know that any knife that comes out of their shop has the best stag that they can possibly get at that time. At that time he may not have had the recourses that he has now. I don’t blame you not selling it.

I like the knife. But, as a knife dealer, I have to choose which ones I want to keep and which ones I want to sell. I wish I could keep all the Bose knives that I get. But I can't. So, this is the baby I choose to sell.

It would be easy to change my mind. And, I wouldn't be upset if it didn't sell.
