BMK WW2 - 10/14/19 12:44 AM

My latest post here is long ago. So I decided to share some pics of my WW2 Drop Point by Behring.
I really love these knives and their leather handle!
Ordered a WW2 Alaskan the other day and some pics of that one will follow soon.
But now at first my old one ....

Nice knife Peter. Is the sheath a special order?

Hi Steve.
I´m a lefty and so I know several sheathmakers here in germany, that make me another nice one!

Awesome rig Peter, and good to hear from you again!

If you ever want a lefty, just tell Georg when you place your orders and I'll see to it- though I certainly understand if you want to stick with some other makers too smile

I know, Grant. But most of my knives are not ordered and I take, what´s in Georg´s shop! (like the WW2 Alaskan, I ordered yesterday from G-Gear!) ;-)

You guys did a great job with these impressive knives!
Thank you, Grant! smile

While fancy and exotic handles are certainly beautiful, those stacked leather, old style handles really speak "use me" and are so classic. I hope the James Gang makes more of them in the old Marbles styles.

Where much of the classic old school stuff happened. Agreed Pap, that's style is the bomb.

Oh there will indeed be plenty more of that.

Have I shown the theater knife tributes on here?

I think one of the coolest Marbles set up was their hatchet/knife combo with combo sheath. Both in stacked leather would certainly be something I would be interested in purchasing and so would a lot of other folks.

Walker,

Once again by Grant's request. These are not my knives. He asked me to post on his behalf.

Here is a re-do by The James' Gang! I may have posted it before. If so, please forgive me!
Ref: Started out as a RMK Model #19-4 1/2" KIT, very small profile, which is what I liked about it. Ya'll be the judge.
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

A fella’s old war theater knife was a gift from his Uncle as a youth. A lifetime of memories later the knife was stolen during home renovations, a true horror story. He reached out to us with the one photo he had of that knife, stuck into a tree after a successful whitetail hunt. We were able to source all the same colors and are truly pleased with our own version of his old companion. James and I are so proud of what we have accomplished that we’re going to start producing various theater knife inspirations. The Alaskan and modified Drop Point are the two latest editions. \

Peter,

What is the blade length on your drop point? It is a real beauty.
Posted by: Peter S.

Re: BMK WW2 - 10/18/19 12:13 AM

It is 12cm, what is around 4,7".
That is the max. german legal blade length, to have that knife always with you.
