If you've ever breezed through a BMK catalog and wondered what the stamped "C" stood for, well those were the original catalog knives. James wanted these documented. I'll be on the lookout for more of these in the future. If I'm not mistaken, Peter K has a Mission knife in Ironwood also a catalog knife.

I believe I read that Miles Welze gets all the C stamped knives.

Not sure about the catalog knives but I know he's had many of the Prototypes stamped "P".

I found where I read it, if you go to the BMK web site, open "sales policy", then read under "Each handmade knife is one of a kind", the last sentence says all C stamped knives were sold to Miles Welze.

And you are so right. Took me some time but yes as true.
Well happy hunting.
