Your Favorite Blade Patterns...& WHY? - 10/10/22 11:30 AM

Recent comments on this fixed blade forum have talked about certain "Blade Patterns". I thought it might be a great topic to pin to the top of this thread and see..."What's What" as to your personal favorites.
Photos always help and, if you struggle to post them, there are always members who will help you with that. It will be interesting to see different RMKs as well as "any other fixed blades" your heart desires.
Let's hear from you, thanks.
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris

I like "lots" of 'em...and for different reasons and applications. EDC's, Drop Points, Trailing points, Clip and Straight points, BCP's, etc., etc.
Here's one I'm particularly fond of: The good-old-fashioned "WOODCRAFT" blade design.
Shown below a BMK (Behring Made Knives) Woodcraft:
Best, Capt. Chris
* 3 3/8" blade
* Studebaker spring steel used
* White Norwegian blue spruce pine cone handle

I'm with Kelly, I'm a huge fan of drop points and spear points.

Why? Personal preference I suppose. It is a mighty strong configuration if you need to do any serious penetration testing.

For the bigger knives I'm also a huge fan of the recurve grind. The Sasquatch shape touches a lot of "oh goody" points with me. smile

Middle knife is from Amy over at Warlander.

Bottom knife is the Trail of Tears knife from Ray Kirk, handle made from Osage Orange/hedgeapple/Bois d'arc ("bodark").

I am fixin' to post this BMK to my website..."NOT" because I don't like it...on the contrary. I just a couple of "way-cool" and rather expensive BMK "Canoes" in short order.
Like the Woodcraft patterned blade, I also love these Canoes. This one is hammer-marked O1 tool steel with a reduced NS hilt, black. white spacers, along with aluminum & copper metal spacers. The BPH is in Manatee rib bone and Buffalo...and it's "pinned"!
Stay Sharp,
Capt. Chris
