"Theatre made"

I'm much inspired bij the so called "Theatre made" WWII combat knives that were extensively used by American soldiers in all theatres of war. Often blades of issued service knives were used, and a handle was added by a field technician or smith.

Thought I should try my hand at making one myself, and this is the result. I didn't use a WWII blade, but made everything myself. The knife bears a remote likeness to a Cattaraugus 225 Quartermaster.

Blade: 6" of 3/16" O1 steel.
Guard and pommel: Blued mild steel.
Handle: stacked leather with brown linen micarta and red fiber spacers.
Sheath: natural bridle leather with Kydex inlays front and back, with a WWII "Lift the dot" snap.

Hope you like it.
