Chris Reeve Project I Knife. - 08/04/19 02:11 PM

Just thought some might be interested in seeing this Chris Reeve “Project I” knife from 2005.

It’s a well balanced but heavy duty knife out of one piece of steel (and aluminum screw-on butt cap).

Survival type knife with hollow handle like a Randall 18. A great rugged knife; well designed and manufactured – tough as a railroad spike. A good choice for a survival knife. 7 1/2" blade.

One of my sons kept it in his room for years in his teens. Never used it for anything but showing off to his friends and opening bottle caps with the butt cap. “Eeek!” - one might say. But he was a teenager. It was a knife. Can’t blame him. (My other son had a Randall #5 Angier setup that got some slight abuse too). A little scratched up but the butt cap actually held up well.

Still shaves the hair off your forearm with ease.

A few pictures. Before and after. And the Chris Reeve signed Guarantee Card.

Thanks for looking, Gary

Very nice. I really like the "tough as a railroad spike" comment. It sure looks as that is true.

Funny, I had one just like it for sale at the Idaho Knife Show last August, and my table was next to the Chris Reeve table. On Saturday afternoon Ann Reeve came over and offered me a trade for mine. I got a fancy Large Sebenza for it. She wanted it for one of her co workers that had been over twice to look at it.
