M7 Knuckleduster

Brent, Bought this in Texas, but I later found out these M7 cast aluminum knuckle handles were made by John T. Graham of Ft. Wright, Kentucky. Maybe the mid 1970's. Mr. Graham was trying to get a Government contract for them, which did not happen. He passed in 1988, so any additional information was lost. My M7 Milpar Knuckleduster was never painted. Most of these were painted black to match the other side of the original grip slab. Yes, even with the knuckleguard it will still mount to an M-16.

I really like this. I might have to build a small forge and root around in the memory to see what I can remember about sand casting from the metal shop class I took my freshman year of high school( many, many moons ago.) Looks fairly simple except for the checking on the grips. Luckily, used M7 bayonets are plentiful and inexpensive. Might become this year's project.

If you're making a cast, start with a grip and you should be able to pick up most of the checking from that.

Thank you for the offer, but seeing the side with the aluminum grip, I have a better idea on how it all goes together. I think if I attempt this, I'll probably make the knuckle part more like the WW1 models, all open , without a separate hole for the pointer finger.

Eric, you always astound. What do you NOT have? Maybe a late Bronze Age? Nepali Tarwar? 7th century Arab? Do you charge admission at your museum and how are tours scheduled?

Lofty, Sorry for the delay in answering. I have been accused of robbing a museum more than a couple of times. I am just a loser, with a bunch of stuff I can't take with me. Case in point....who else besides me would collect US WWI Toilet Paper packs?

Well, if you have been stopped up a looong time, it would be appropriate.

I bought up some old cased rats a while back pennies each, some leaking, and friends asked what was I doing with that junk, and I was going through each one to retrieve old P38s still in wrappers.

But, I kinda doubt for some reason that the toilet paper packs have a sharp cracker jack suprise in them, dunno why not?

No use in feeling lonely...

Was that "cased" or "caged" rats?

Ah, the old neighborhood.....how I miss it...and to ride on a half full train for breathing room.





Back to M7 knuckledusters, I never saw one in service such as that, and I wants me one, to put on my old M7, and will gladly accept any directions as to best place to look for such.
