We were looking at this unit at the Sunbelt Expo last October. It’s pretty impressive for what it is, pricey too. But what isn’t ??

Mahindra and other Asian companies have been doing Jeep knock-offs for years. It is not a Jeep unless it was built in Toledo.

The last time I looked at the Reep (my term) it was not able to be licensed for driving on the road. It's like a Polaris or Tracker ORV. Maybe that has changed.

Many years ago one of the Jeep forums had an online Q&A with some Jeep designers. I told them they were missing the boat for not doing exactly what Mahindra is doing now.

How many Randall Made Knife knock-offs do you own?

Sorry, as a Jeep owner since 1977 this is my sore spot. It doesn't help that we may all be dead in a month. wink

Where Jeep itself messed up was not looking at this Mahindra 4 cylinder turbo diesel setup with the old style square body. The Chrysler Jeep keeps trying to be more modern, while ignoring what most off roaders, hunters are wanting. The 4 wheeler wheeler companies have taken a lot of this market, but this Roxon is road worthy and has a lot of options. If I didn't have my 3 cylinder diesel Kubota,900, I might be very interested.

Tried to redo the topic from Roxie to Roxor, the spell checker got me before I saw it. Sorry.

The large local boat dealer here in Houghton Lake has been selling these for about a year and a half now. What was told to me by a salesman when I stopped to check one out was that after WW2, Jeep sold the rights to manufacturer Jeeps to different countries. Toyota in Japan,Mahindra in India, for the local markets. Not being able to be registered for on road use(at least in Michigan),I kind of lost interest in them.

Winning the Battle
For years, Fiat Chrysler has been embroiled in a legal battle with Mahindra over the styling of the Roxor off-road off-road vehicle. Jeep claimed that the Roxor looked far too much like, well, a Jeep, saying that it is "nearly identical" with the same "boxy shape, with flat-appearing vertical sides and rear body ending at about the same height as the hood." A judge sided with FCA back in November of 2019, and now, the International Trade Commission has upheld that decision.
