Received my elk horn grips for my Smith and Wesson Model 10-8. Dresses it up mighty purty.

Those look very comfortable, with the smooth where it won't bite, and the texture where it helps with control.

Nice....

Could you get away with that at a cowboy action shoot? Ever been to one of those, laughs galore.
BTW, it's definitely bling Pap. Nicely made grips for sure.

Don't know about a Cowboy shoot, doesn't get much more American than elk horn. I've seen a few pearl grips and ivory grips, but to me, elk horn is nicer. To each their own, that's what makes it interesting. I had a moose inside palm horn polished on a Bud Tracy knife. Sorry now that I gave it away.

The bark is all about these grips and it looks like a winner Pap. Thanks for the pics.

Very nice. Really adds to that 10 in my opinion. Did they have the S&W medallions?

Warren,
We have those "cowboy" shoots at the gun club I'm a member of down here....they are quite interesting....the folks have as much in their outfits/costumes, as the guns....I was thinking about shooting, however after I saw the get ups, and the fast shooting, I figured that it was way more work than I cared to get into
nice grips, and fast shipping it look like

Rocky,

We had a club that used to shoot at our range a few years ago. They were fun to watch, and you're right they got into authentic dress of the day.

How's the fit Pappy? I like custom grips on my handguns. Not all of them but if it improves the felt recoil or just feels better AND looks better; why not? Thing is for the big pounders (45-70, 44 Mags, 309 JDJ, others) the black Hogues & Pachmeyers aren't nearly as purty but it's hard to beat the way they tame the pound on my old wrists & palms. Not so much so with the 6 shooters.
So......fit?

Perfect fit, better than the stock grips from Smith. I'm going to get a smooth set for my 627 Performance.

I think that I have seen this one before on here but I’ll never get tired of looking at it.

Really nice, Warren.

Here's my new smooth grips on my other S&W 10-7 and my Bond Arms, compared to my original one. The smooth ones look very close to ivory.

Yes, Walker you can get them with or without the S&W medallion. I got the medallions on both of my Model 10's.
