"The Fighting Knife" booklet

"The Fighting Knife" booklet - 09/29/09 02:12 PM

Surely, this has been discussed before, but I failed to find it in Search.

Wasn't this booklet discontinued in 1989? Why was it discontinued? It doesn't seem that it would cost much to produce it. If nothing else, I would think that anyone who owns a Randall fighting knife would agree that the nostalgic value alone would be worth the price.

Tom,
I talked with Gary earlier today. He said that they discontinued the booklet because knife fighting techniques had evolved to such a degree that he felt the booklet was obsolete.

Rick,

Thanks for asking Gary. Too bad they couldn't update it or just offer it as memorabilia. It's a neat piece of history to go with any Randall fighter - new or old.
