CW Handle Size - 04/08/07 10:07 PM
Does anyone have a chart that they could post or email on the size each RMK handle & the material supplied buy customers needs to be? Is it OK if its a little big or should it be trimmed to exact dimensions?

This is about a year and a half old, so better double-check with the shop when you order...

Thanks from me too. I saved the picture of the form from RMK.
Chief, I will send you some Florida Keys Lignum Vitae for one of your handles.
Your letter arrived today. You are a Southern Gentleman who won't welch on a bet.

Tom,
..Welch on a bet? The term comes from British bookies who would close up their businesses and go to Wales to avoid having to make large payouts on unexpected large losses. It would be more correct to say that someone had Welshed on a bet rather than Welched on it but the term has been used with the corrupted Welch rather than correct Welsh for so long that it has stuck. An old friend named Doug Welch told me this.

Since both welsh and welch are commonly used, I prefer the word that sounds harsher.
A "Welcher" sounds more sleazy than a "Welsher"
Tom, I heard that the word started in Hollywood in 1959, when some studio producer wouldn't pay off on a bet on whether or not a new starlet named Raquel's boobs were real.
Besides, "The 5th Avenue of the West" is called Welsher Boulevard. I didn't want to confuse anyone.
