Curious here, would it work as an oyster knife?

In my opinion, the Fireman is bit "stout" and bulky for the job. It'll definitely "shuck"...not "suck" if tasked with the job though!
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris
PS: A Small Gambler would be my choice...CCS

I would "flat-grind" the sharpened portioned of the Small Gambler, prior to use...
That's just me,

Why not just buy the tool that’s made for that purpose. I agree with Rocky, not worth it..

Yes, maybe Gary would consider making a real oyster knife we could buy?

James just made a batch of these, if you want a pretty one.

It would probably work great.
The finger grips and flat handle would be a plus.
It's best to get the gloves that are made for doing it & a clamp or holder if you are a beginner.

Hey Rob,

You read my mind. I ordered one of the ironwood handled oyster knives from Grant.

The Wadden Sea next to Denmark is full off oysters. Great oyster harvesting at low tide. My oldest son really likes oystering with his original Behring oyster knife, but he wants one with a bigger handle.

Based on model 10, it would be nice, after all, fisherman, and this is oysterman, LOL

Although it's possible Randall has already done something similar, like those old solid metal knives with a beer opener.

Here's the second one below is more realistic for production, and fits into the line #10's and the stamp is quite placed vertically, I tried using the photo of the old 10-3
