RKCC door prize this year was an 8-4 with beautiful stag.

Donated by Gary Clinton, which he has done every year that I've attended.

Re: Blade Show - 06/07/22 01:15 PM

I have not been at Blade for a few years, due mostly to living outside the USA and restrictions that were in place.
This year reminded me of 5 or 6 years ago, with the number of public attendees, especially Friday.
But the best part for me was old friends, new friends and the excellent displays of RMK by members of the RKCC. I won’t name those that displayed, because I will forget someone, but the displays were excellent. Thank you to all that put forth the time and effort to display.

I got a few goodies at Blade. Some of these were bought before the show and I just picked them up at Blade.

Re: Blade Show - 06/08/22 08:22 AM

My apologies for having not posted on "any" of these "top" 3 threads...BUT...(Ahhh: I feel better already)...I have good excuses.
Yes: My best Blade show ever. Records galore! Thanks to everyone and please know I appreciate all y'all!
Second: On the "not-so-good" news front. Scott called me from the shop on Monday, as TK & I were driving home and informed me that "ALL" RMK shop personnel, except Aaron, have contracted Covid...INCLUDING "ME"...(The Ol' Captain, not Scott)!
I don't wish to hear anymore about Covid being a conspiracy or having "run it's course" or being gone. It's a bitch!
As I told James C...."AAARGH"!!
I'll keep you posted,
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris

Good luck Cap. We've had three bouts of it here at our house. The symptoms seem less potent each time. Maybe a built up immunity of sorts?

Cap and all affected,

Praying you all get better quick; sorry to hear how it spread. Just tested and four days since I was there, thank God its negative.

Get well

Thanks Lori for the pic.

The irony in this picture is I'm sporting a "perhaps he shouldn't have a knife" band-aid on the left index finger.

Re: Blade Show - 06/12/22 03:22 PM

I told you it was sharp!!!!!!!

Happens to the best of us!!!! Guilty as charged right here!!!!

Re: Blade Show - 06/12/22 03:56 PM

IIRC I think I saw the band aid on the your finger, before you won the knife.

I'm so sorry we had to miss this year's Blade show...still dealing with diminished lung capacity issues, so we were "instructed" that it would not be wise to expose ourselves to the crowds...(apparently; SMART DRs!)

REALLY, missed seeing the people much more than seeing the show!

RMK shop is back at 100% populace!! No lingering effects, get better quick Cap!

Re: Blade Show - 06/13/22 11:42 AM

Good to hear y’all are at 100%! It sure sounds like they hit it square on the recommendation to wait it out for sure.

Re: Blade Show - 06/13/22 08:58 PM

Scott....diminished lung capacity is my issue after hospitalization with Covid. I just cannot do what I used to do. And that really sucks.
Posted by: Dirty_Water

Re: Blade Show - 06/14/22 05:46 AM

Amen Ronnie, I shall be praying for your complete recovery also...and I have taken up a new saying when someone comments how good it is to see me after my hospilization; "better to be seen, than viewed", God is good!! wink

Thought I would work on posting some more pictures of Blade 2022. This is Brock and Emily Sievers son Walker picking up his door prize, at the Saturday meeting, who is the Grandson of Steve and Cathy White.
