Scott update - 10/26/21 12:12 PM
Gentlemen and Lori, I'm going to speak text this because I have limited use with my left hand so forgive the grammar. I finish my two weeks of intense rehab tomorrow and I go home on Thursday! Praise God!! I cannot begin to tell you how much your prayers, comments, and thoughts have meant to me during this time. Never would have imagined I've been out for 3 months, it still blows my mind. Couldn't walk when I got here two weeks ago, but I'm doing very very well I have a very strong gate and things are looking great! I am going to have some more Rehab on my left arm, not sure when I'll be back at RMK I sure am looking forward to getting back though! Once again I thank all of my great friends, and give all the Glory to God that I'm still here!!! I've missed you all...

Re: Scott update - 01/06/22 05:22 PM
One helluva’ diet plan Scott. I’ve got “before and after” photos of a couple uncles who got caught in the Battle of the Bulge and then lived thru Nazi POW camps & they don’t look much different. Except they were both on stretchers. At least you’re upright.
I’m so very glad you’ve made it thru, brother. Please keep taking care of yourself.
Scott
glad to hear that you have improved and are now able to work again.
Take care my friend

But … if I change my mind I would be very happy to be your neighbor!
And that is a beautiful song. I will certainly remember it.

Re: Scott update - 02/07/22 12:24 PM
Good talking to you this morning, Scott and your goodies are on the way. For anyone else wanting to try huckleberry jam, look up Huckleberry Haven. For those unaware, huckleberries can not be grown commercially and are only found in Montana, Idaho, Oregon and Washington in the deep forests and all picked by hand. Also, they are blueberries on steroids with 10 times the amount of antioxidants.
Pap

Scott, great progress, congratulations!
I noticed you don't use headphones or earplugs, maybe because it's a short trial of the hand?
Ears must be protected, I began to notice that I began to hear worse than 10 years ago, I found an article and now I wear protection in noisy places

Good catch DS! and I'm a stickler for safety!! I hadn't really expected to be able to take the pressure/pain for as long as it would take to shape this batch of knives...BUT by the Grace of God, I had NO pain throughout the experience! Now...the next day, that was a different story!! LOL

Re: Scott update - 05/24/23 09:36 PM
I have maybe half of my hearing that I should have. Why?
1. LOUD rock & roll in my youth.
2. Many rounds of .44 mag & .45 acp with minimal ear protection.
3. Driving a Jeep CJ with a vinyl top and aggressive tires for 20+ years.
I do not have hearing aids but I do read lips pretty good.
Would I go back and give up any of the above?
No.
