As pictured in a couple other threads, I picked up a beat up model 8 to be used as a edc work knife and I use it for everything.... but its ugly. Or was...

That really turned out nice! What was your process to get it so clean?

I got a old heater motor mounted to a board. Tossed some compound on the cloth wheel and went at it slowly as to not heat the blade up or buff out the weak part of the stamping or the lines.

Its something you probably don't want to do if your not 100% confident in what your doing. Buffing knives can be deadly.

Not at all, this is going to be passed to my kids if there's any blade left by then.

Ah I see, that was the ebay auction that I won it from.
