Saying goodbye folks

Saying goodbye folks - 02/10/20 08:53 PM

Rather than just drift off, I want to say farewell to the Randall community. Many have come and gone without a goodby and that's not right. My knife interests and others are in another direction. Wishing you all the best in the future.

Interests change over time, I know mine have but at least for me Randall Knives are still special.

Warren like the rest I am sorry to see you go best of everything going forward. You have added a lot to the forum with your posts and pic's. It seems like we have fewer and fewer people posting now days! I could always look forward to you posting something, the one that really stands out had nothing to do with knives, it was the one of the big buck that died of natural causes that was found with hover craft.

Re: Saying goodbye folks - 02/13/20 09:03 PM

Shame to see anyone go. We need to grow the ranks and get more people involved. Especially the younger generations. Not sure how we can all pass on our love of Randall Made Knives but we are keepers of the flame for the collecting and using hobbies. If you haven't, try to get the kids or grandkids involved with your collection! Show them what you have. Tell them about the Randall history and the handle materials etc. This hobby needs a shot in the arm!

Re: Saying goodbye folks - 02/13/20 10:10 PM

There are a lot of "lurkers" here that don't comment, participate, however you want to say it.
Also disagreements, hurt feelings, rarely get let go of. They become banned never to be revisited IE forever, or just leave.

This hobby needs a shot in the arm!
We seem to be better at shooting ourselves in the foot.
Sometimes we read things the wrong way and see a insult where it wasn't intended.
I have no room to talk on this as I have been guilty of it myself.

Re: Saying goodbye folks - 02/13/20 10:54 PM

I hate to say it but this forum seems to be dying on the vine. I agree with Chief there have been a lot of people that have been run off that were good members. People take things out of context and feel like they have to set things straight even if it causes someone to leave the forum. Take things with a grain of salt and try to get along for the sake of the forum.

I too am sad to see you are no longer going to be active here.
I've enjoyed your posts and photos which help to keep my focus on Randall's.
Very easy to get sidelined to other Manufacturers.
Be well.Wayne

Good luck Miles!

They are running all the good people out (same with New York); but they don't care.

Re: Saying goodbye folks - 02/24/20 08:36 AM

The "running out" part...they don't care. It just means more of the residents agree with them. They don't even care that companies that move away take jobs and taxes with them.
