After watching the video if there are still questions, I'll take a shot at it. Here's a (stolen) pic of Mitchell's Zacharias type fighter.

Here's what the grip looks like. It amplifies the slashing/stabbing power and creates a solid push-pull grip.

I belive Bo referred to it as "edge up"

Was able to view video. I saw the way the soldiers were holding the weapon. That did help me. Thanks again!
