Interesting piece from shop sale - 04/17/19 06:31 PM

A 13-12 that had a flaw approx 1 1/2" from the tip and was reground to 9". This is the result. Kinda different.

I think all you get is a receipt. The shop no longer does "letters".

Fast forward to 10 years or so from now and I can definitely see a knock down, drag out fight on this forum over whether that knife is a legit "from the shop" knife. :-)

Just speaking for myself, as cool and unusual as that knife is, I'd spring for the letter of authentication. It sure couldn't hurt!

Of course you're right Miles. Not sure what I was thinking. What I meant to say was "a friendly, light-hearted discussion with a little good-natured ribbing". Kind of like all the Mayberry folks in Floyd's barber shop. Better? :-)
