Randall knives with polished stag handles

First, if any one has a Randall with a polished stag handle I would love to see it.

I'd also like to know how you'd go about ordering one from Randall. Is that something you request that they do in shop?

I came across this picture and thought it was a great why to get a fossilized ivory look without the price.

Scott (and others) have mentioned that the only way to get polished stag nowadays is on a model25 handle.

That limits your knives to mdl25, mdl26, mdl27, mdl12-9", and mdl12-9" 14grind (all these with only leather-stag-leather mdl25 handle, of course).

Earlier examples exist and they certainly look good.

Thanks for the info Rob! Stinks that it isn't available on most knives but makes the 12-9" with the 14 grind a real compelling option. I am going to do some Googling to see if I can find any examples of it.

Thanks again!

I polished mine & then sent it in as stag customer supplied.
Trust me it's better that way because your there as it's being done.
You get to decide when to stop & have the look that you want.

Chief,

We've discussed this one, very similar shape. Mine just rehandled by BMK in FWI.

Don't want to give the impression of hijacking with a rehandled BMK, but Chief and I shared parts of the same FWI tusk earlier build.
I will re-post later on my completed makeover.
