Economics of Behring Re-Handles - 08/02/18 05:43 AM

Can you get your money back from a knife when re-handled by Behring Made Knives? I've got an 8-4" that I dislike the handle. I could probably sell it for $300. I could also send it to Behring for a re-handle for another $300, but if I needed to sell it would I get $600 out of it? My assumption is that I wouldn't. I'd like to get a MBK, but would I be better off buying one of theirs straight-out?

A wide spacer #8 will fetch (at least) $400.00 the way it sits. I would leave it alone.

Maybe he’s referring to a Michigan Behring Knife.

A local sheath-maker. I'd have to dig through my files to figure out who.
