Late 50's #1 with upated military history - 02/10/18 03:16 PM

Purchased this one a couple weeks ago and have been looking for some military history to go along with the knife and original owner. Daniel L. Reider ordered this #1-7 with his name, rank and AF serial number etched on the blade. Most of the "experts" agreed the knife was late 50's. As it turns out, Daniel was in the Air Force from 1957-68. He took part in the Lebanon Crisis, the Congo airlift and took part in over 380 other missions. He was an air commando.

Your research has made the knife even more special. It's good to know these military relics are in good hands being appreciated and maintained.

Rarely is the history with the knife preserved, and glad to see you capture some of it, at least.

Were it mine, I would be seeing if anybody in the family missed it.
