Navy Seal-Model 1

Navy Seal-Model 1 - 09/07/17 02:32 PM

I recently found out that my landscaper and friend was a former Navy Seal. He never said anything, but in a private conversation with him, it came out. That was a few months ago. I had an older Model 1, SS, leather, NS and WT, laying around with no sheath. I found a nice sheath, but not a Gutcher or Johnson. Anyway, I gave it to him this past weekend and he was blown away. He knew about Randalls, but never had one. Now he does.

Good for you Pap. I'm pretty sure that's a Vince Peloza made sheath. Outstanding sheath.

Pappy,

If you can find the correct sheath to make that rig right let me know. I'd like to finish it off. That knife deserves the right leather.

I think you are right Ronnie, it's a very nicely made sheath with rivits and canteen snap. I found it on EBay a while back.

Warren, thanks for the generous offer on matching the sheath, but the knife was well used and a late 70's or early 80's knife, so not mint. Tim has 2 boys and I expect at least one of them will go military and also expect that Randall to be moving on with one of them. Great gesture my friend.

Pap, please ask Mr. Orr which BUDs class he graduated with and who his swim buddy was at the end of training. You can DM me his response. My father was a UDT Frogman in the 60's and would like to know. Clay Archey
