Official List Of Randall Knife Dealers.

Is there an official list of Randall Knife Dealers ?

I ask this because a fellow knife nut,on another forum,claims he has ordered a Randall Model 14 from a Randall dealer in Fayetteville,N.C.I believe I know all of the dealers sanctioned by Randall and I don't know of anyone in Fayetteville N.C.

There are several others.... Rick Ward, Spyderco, Duke down in Florida, Wayne in North Alabama, Smokey Mountain, I think.

Is Spyderco a "full service" dealer? The reason I ask is because of this statement posted on their website.

"Please be aware that Spyderco cannot custom order a Randall Made Knife for you. If you would like a custom made Randall Made Knife, please contact Randall Made Knives directly (currently there is a 5+ year waiting list)."

Maybe not... I thought they were, but.

Are there different types of dealers? Does Smoky Mountain take custom orders? I didn't know Smoky Mountain was a dealer.

If A.G Russell is an official dealer,then why does he sell his Randall knives for so much more than shop price?

Dealers can set their own price, only some dealers charge catalog price. You would have to ask them about the pricing

Not Smokey Mountain. They buy from me...and others. Blue Ridge Knives (Tommy Clark) in Va. is an authorized Randall dealer, selling at catalog price.

Is there a complete list available?

I was just letting you know that about Blue Ridge, with regards to being one of the dealers that sells at catalog price. Jack Crider is no longer a dealer. AG Russell is. As to a complete list, I'd have to work on that one.

LOL I must be in left field because I've never heard of the last two.

This is the "Class Picture" of the most Authorized Randall Dealers attending the Blade Show. Shot at the 2013 Blade Show by Miss Gail Maynard using some amateur's Canon 5D MKII.

Rick Ward was unable to be there on Saturday for the photo, so I took a picture of him on Sunday at his table, and photoshopped his head & shoulders into the image between Wayne Jordan & Scott Maynard (representing the Shop).

I don't have the final photo here on the laptop, maybe Chris can post it.

Rick Ward added in framed final photo hanging in Gary Randall's office.

Spyderco in Golden, CO, does have Randall knives on display and for sale, but they do not place orders for customers. They offer free sharpening of their Spyderco branded knives as long as you can still read the Logo. I go over there about once a year with my 2 Kitchen knives and look at the Randalls while I wait and talk with the expert doing the sharpening.

I believe it's either snail mail or phone call only for Doug Kenefick. At least that's what I was told several years ago. I ended up calling and talking to him.

Doug does almost "all" business via USPS... Send him a note, along with a deposit, and you'll get a little hand-written receipt. A few months later you'll get your knife! Mike is correct...Doug does not use, or even own, a computer. (Smart man)

I thought I would bring this thread back up to see if anyone has been able to create a complete list of the Randall Dealers, and maybe a note whether they have a Dealer Special or not.

There are "Randall Dealers" and there are "Authorized Randall Dealers". This discussion is focused on the "Authorized Dealers". Sometimes it gets confusing when using the words, "Randall Dealer". Preferencing it with "Authorized" narrows it down to just those who get their knives directly from the Shop.

As an Authorized Randall Dealer since 1980, I have never seen a published list of current Authorized Dealers. When folks contacted the Shop, the customer was referred to the closest dealer in their locality.

Most of the Authorized Dealers that frequent this Forum sell at Randall's Catalog List Price.

Per the shop's request, this is not something that they condone, rather opting to only list authorized dealers who sell at catalog price. There are some, even on this forum, that do not...hence: No list.

Not sure if he's authorized or not, But I got my first Randall from Miles.

I am happy happy happy, and I will be hooking up again with him again.

I think Nordic knives is the only "authorized" (I'm not positive) RMK seller in Kalifornia, but Miles comes up with some real goodies sometimes.

Probably easier to list all who don't have a special... Buck Buchanan, Rick Ward, Greg Gutcher come to mind.

I'm not an authorized RMK dealer, just love the knives!

Which of the Authorized Dealers has been in business the longest? Any dates of their establishment?

I started in 1983. Andy Thornal, Tom Clinton (Gary now), Wayne Buxton, Nordic Knives (Gaddis first and Dave Harvey now) are also long-in-the-tooth. I don't know about Doug Kenefick and A.G. Russell but they've been around a good long time also.
