For those that have been following here is another I inherited from my grandpa. This is a vietnam era 14 attack with the green handle and exposed tang. I don’t know the year grandpa bought this one as I do not have his notes on it. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Any chance anyone has a magic trick for removing and preventing the brass from corroding on the sheath?

Yes....don’t keep the knife in the sheath. Store them separately.

You will get better results outside, if you take the photos on an overcast day with no sun. It "erases" the shadows and provides better identification.

Go to: "How To Improve Your Knife Photos", in the Picture Gallery.

Look at Steve's (Holzinger258) photos on post #129356 & #129357 in and Tony's photos on post#129340-129342. See how much difference there is in theirs just by "removing" the sun. Hope this helps.
