I was so stoked when I got this call from Grant today followed by an email and the pics below.
Another collaboration knife between James and Mudbone.
I'll let Grant's words do the talking from his email.

"In this project the blades were forged, ground, heat treated and guards soldered in place before they went to Mud and the rest you see is him, and his wife Theresa’s handy work on the beautiful cross hatching on the sheath (he wanted that noted). I was on the phone with him for about an hour this Sunday before having even seen them and he was going on about how proud of the group he is, and it shows.
The Hunter is hand forged from 3/16” thick 01 and measuring 4” from tip to copper guard. Black and maroon fiber, copper, brass, and g10 spacers come together with the beautiful fossil walrus butt. Has a real nice heft to it (more than 1 1/8” thick at the ivory). Overall length measures 8 1/2” and the grizzly sheath is just awesome."

Well here you go, hope you like it as much as I do.

Likewise, figured you take this one. Can’t resist a feather can ya. grin
Btw, butt plate shaped like an Indian arrowhead. Very cool.

I'd like to think of it as fortunate to be part of a great group of friends who share the same passion for fine knives.

Here we go again #3 in the BMK/Mudbone series and this may be the best so far. I got wind of this one about a month ago while Mud was putting on some the final touches. Hard to see but James mistakenly stamped this blade upside down. I mean just look at the hand carved feathers on that fossil. How awesome is that? Another great collaboration.
