Hey Guys,
I need some advice. My young Godson/Nephew is a new butcher and is looking
for some good knives.
I know there is always the Randall Carving Set. But is there a place that he might find
knives specifically made for a butcher who will be using them day in and day out.
He does everything from breaking down whole carcasses to trimming out smaller pieces for sale.
Thanks for the help.
Tony

I don't know what professional Butchers use, but I like Victorinox knives for the kitchen.

I use some of them to process deer too.

Tony,

Like Rob mentioned, the Victorinox are good. My Bro-in-law was a meat packer for years. All his knives were/are Victorinox. Same for the fella that processes my big game up here in Saskatchewan.

Forschner (by Victorinox) knives are excellent, and very reasonably priced.

Warther is my only choice for Kitchen knives. Made in Ohio and they stay very sharp under use.
