Warren,

I, too, like old advertisements, especially the Buck ads that featured a 105 Pathfinder. smile

Tom,

I know you're fond of Buck knives. I've only had two; one was a 110, the other a Kalinga which came in a nice display case. I gave the 110 to my good friend who needed a hunting knife. He still uses it today.

Tom,

It might have been one of those ads that made the 105 my first good knife purchase! Probably when I was around 16 or 17.

Warren and Tony,

I think just about anyone who was breathing in the 1970s owned a Buck knife. smile

Tom,

Buck was my first hunting knife and I gave it to my son when he started hunting!

That's a special knife for your son, Tom. Start him with a Buck and then move him into a Randall. smile

Tom and Tom ...

Ha!

That's exactly what I did.
Gave my 105 to my younger Son ...
then a Model 5 each, in recognition for becoming Eagle Scouts!

Guess you could say he was a "small Buck". My Dad had this 705 tucked away in his jewelry box. It's at least 40 years old.

In the mid-1960’s I bought this at the Buck shop in San Diego, where I was stationed and preparing for deployment to the Vietnam “festivities”
