Alto, Texas, San Augustine, Texas, and Ruston, Louisiana were just about blown away this past week.

Please keep those folks in your prayers.

The spring storms tracks have moved down from the Red River and I-30 to I-20 and Deep East Texas.

Tom:

My wife grew up on Coleman St. in Longview. She said there was extensive damage in her old neighborhood over close to Eden St. I think.

Lots of nice places over there with lots of beautiful trees. It is a shame.

I currently live two blocks away from a fire station. Our power is rock solid and repaired pronto if it goes out.

In August we're moving to rural Grayson county. I have doubts our power situation is going to be as nice.

Sometime mid-day power went out. Firetrucks and Ambulance followed. Someone took out a pole, during a beautiful afternoon non weather related.
We loose power here often.

Power finally came back on this morning.

There were 42 outages involving 5,000 customers (nearly everybody in 20 mile radius)

The COOP boys worked all night getting power restored.

I talked to one (who is my cousin) and he said that he was “wipin’ a tired butt” today!
