I bought a Dan D knife 10-12 years ago at a gun show. The maker had been mentioned on the "G. Gordon Liddy" radio show and the G Man really talked up his work.

Mine is a 4" drop point with a dark wood, riveted grip. Marked "Dan-D" with a shamrock to the right of the name.

Is Mr. Dennehy (SP?) still making knives? Any other info would be appreciated.

Dan is way up in age and has been in and out of nursing homes over the past couple of years. I think he may have an apprentice that is taking over his shop. I'll see what I can find out.

Thanks for the info............. I'd send a digital if You'd like. Interested in just some general info on Dan and the knife. And a ballpark figure on what it's worth.

Dan has an apprentice, maybe two. Dan was inducted into the Cutlery Hall of Fame at the Blade show in June.
