Peter,
These knives look familiar! As long as you have the #11-4" you'll always have good tradin' material with me! I'd love to have it. I can't see the 3rd knife too well.
Nice lot: Capt. Chris

More happy as all three blades are..."FLA" blades!

Great sets of knives, perhaps you could go for a matching model 8 also smile
I can't tell what material the handles are on the Monks though, ivory?

Looks like ivorite...or else it's "perfect" ivory, as I see no seperate figuring or coloring normally found on an ivory piece.
Guido: Where are you? ..and did our "guests" arrive yet?
Best, Capt. Chris

Thanks alot Guys! blush

Tom my favorite is #19...than#23...than#11.

Beside my love for #8(OLD one) that TRIO looks more homogeneus...but I'll consider NEW style #8 for your tip!!

Material is new Ivorite; #19 is one year younger but, put among other two, doesn't show any different tonality...

Capt....Clay is due here on Fri.18th; a lot of chats and "WILDE HOG"...for lunch(...what else!!!) wink

Once upon a time...I put together what I named the "Three Monks"...now some years after, they became a portrait of Old Times America:
Sioux-Crow Chief-Huron

Done by Roberto Bruci, Italian scrimshawed.
Handle are in NWI...I know...I know but tired to see broken Ivory.

Thanks Guys,
It could be insane to embellish a knife with something worthy much...much more than the knife itself...but art is art and NWI has a plus: it doesn't crack !
Thanks again for your appreciation Guys..!
Jason, it's my pleasure to be a "tester" for RMK new material.

Would you consider making prints suitable for framing? I would like to buy one if you do!

Thanks so much Guys for your appreciation but here the situation is very though and no more cash around.
Leghorn show is pretty new and few less tables this here; hope to meet some guys from the near American Base of "Camp Derby".
No specials for sell...just catalog knives. Specials for display only!
Hope to fill up some more RKCC applications.
See you later...alligator !

Guido,
You stated: "Francesco was in Leghorn to present his last work as Editor of the new book about life and work of
James A. Schmidt "The great Master".
Book's premier was held at East Coast Custom Knife Show last March 1st, NJ"
I just wanted to thank you on the forums (I already thanked you privately) for the fantastic birthday present of this outstanding book! It is the finest book I own! Your friendship is a treasure and your "Randall Goodwill" is as strong and anyone could ever ask for.
Thanks for the RKCC member applications! It's great to see our "international" contingency growing even stronger! I'll bring copies of membership apps and their membership card, along with copies of "KNIFE KNEWS", with me to the Blade show.
To everyone else who reads this: If you can, get a copy of this book! The artistry of Jim Schmidt and the "PHOTOS" have to be seen to be appreciated!
Thanks again Guido.
Capt. Chris
PS: What a great birthday present!!
