Just to let everyone know that I have not been "totally" fluffin' off: All (or mostly all) international mailings of issue #3 are already "in the wind". About 50% of our national members are mailed as well. I will try and finish up the lion's share tomorrow.
If anyone has not received one in a timely manner, please email the club email and let me know. Thanks.
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris
PS: Past issues of the club's newsletters can be ordered. Normally the charges will be about $2.50 per issue, shipping included...CCS

Ben,
Almost all of the newsletters contains an orange "reminder" slip. It has the club address and paypal account. The Payal account is the same as it's email: RKCCLUB@aol.com. Renewals run $25.oo per year.
To give you an idea of the expense involved in running the club, this single issue of "KNIFE KNEWS" runs:
* Printing costs: $1150.00
* Mailing costs: $450.00
That's $1600.00...times "3" newsletters per year. Right at $5,000.00 annually with other operating costs (internet service, computer service, etc.) on top of that. If everyone renews their membership the club should come close to paying for itself in it's second year. That will not happen. Natural attrition kicks in and I am hopefull we can save 75%.
In a cost-cutting move, I have cut my salary by 1/3. (I still receive $000.00) !!! Perhaps next year I can double that!
Have a nice day, Capt. Chris
PS: RKCC members: Please pay your dues...Thanks, CCS

Stanaback Specials are forged in stainless only. I tried some carbon about 15-20 years ago. The were not very popular. Sorry...
Best, Capt. Chris
