Here are the first 5 Whiskey Pete Knives out of 16 ordered a few days ago. 1 is from a old file and the others are 0-1 tool steel. They have been quenched and are now cooking for a few hours. This is first time I have made similar knives at the same time.

The one in the picture is yours Guido. Capt, I am going to hit the local flea markets up next weekend for some more files. I am out at the present time.

Captain that light green material is awesome! As you would say, "I smell a trade".

I plan on being at the shop around 0600 for my number. I am usually the last to get there. Maybe I'll get under 40 this time.

Making some progress. My prototype with old brown micarata and a file style with black micarta. Both have brass hardware and black liners. The next one will have NASA green scales and SF green liners. Stay tunned.

NASA Green glued up. I think the Captain is going to like this one. This NASA stuff is a real "SON OF BUCK" to cut to size. I am going to need a better saw.

This will be the sheath for the No.7 Wiskey Pete Knife. The first sheath was to fat or thick for my taste. This rig can be carried in your front pocket like a pocket knife. It seems very versatile. I will tweak it and get better with the more I make. Let me know what you like in a sheath for this style knife.

For those of us that wear cowboy boots, that's a real winner and I would wear it every day.

I was on the same page as Pappy. I wear ropers or biker boots when riding and thought it would be a great boot knife.

Maybe I could get you to make a scale-less version...... slim and thin to ride in my right boot? Leave the file marks on the handle for grip... skeletonize it like a Tri?

Pappy it works great in cowboy boots. The sheath is very hard to make look good. Hopefully my skills will improve.

Tune we think alike and I will have a few scale-less versions at the Blade Show. I drill holes in the handles to lighten the it up a bit. I will make a few this weekend if my steel order arrives.

I am going to make the handles thinner on the next batch.

Jimmy, just wanted to thank you for getting my daughter's 21st birthday Whiskey Pete here in time to give her on her birthday. The boot sheath fits her riding boots great and comfortable and the jade green fits her hand great. Really outstanding blade that, as she says, she'll "keep forever".

I'm glad she likes it Duke! That is the omly one I have done with the 2 thong hole configuration. It was not on purpose. I missed up on drilling the 3/32 hole. I think it turned out pretty cool. Thanks a lot for your interest in my knives.

Thanks Steve and everybody else for your kind comments.
