#10 AGM - 04/13/17 10:30 AM
Hello fellow forumers!!
I was given a rather nice Rattlesnake pouch at Blade last year by one of our VERY BEST here. I have been trying to find a good #10-3" to pair with it and nothing has jumped out at me.
I am curious to know if anyone has a #10-3" in AGM they would be willing to part with????
I realize this may be a long shot, but that's what the forum is for.
Thank you!
James
James,
All the luck in the world finding that.
Have you thought about lignum vida.Would be cool !!!

Re: #10 AGM - 04/14/17 09:10 PM
I have cousin. .. but I REALLY want an AGM
Plus yours is the only Lignum 10-3 I have seen.
James,
I have a couple of AGM "slabs" that should fit a 10-3(if cut down)...you could send a regular 10-3 over to the Behring folks, and I'll bet they could fix you up.
I'm just say'n....
one shot with flash, and one without

Re: #10 AGM - 04/16/17 10:24 AM
Is there such a thing as a shop-made 10/3 in AGM? I don't believe I have ever seen a model 10 in either AGM or old yeller but I haven't seen nearly as many knives as most folks on here.

Re: #10 AGM - 04/16/17 10:34 AM
I once owned these two #10s with old yellow micarta handles. Unfortunately, I sold them in a weak moment.

Have you tried Google? I just tried Antique Gold Micarta knife scales. I didn't go too deep but lot's of hits. Someone out there has what you want, don't give up just yet.
To my point, Mr. Mason is still searching for a 19-6 sheath. I like your odds.

Got a call into Tom The Bomb, the unofficial micarta king. Also sent you a link to another good source. Solid detective work, we'll get it together.

Thank you Warren. I appreciate the assistance =)

Re: #10 AGM - 04/18/17 10:40 PM
We'll get it done, be patient.
It should be noted here that, despite claims of AGM &/or Old Yeller, most material bought today is, indeed, NEITHER! It turns a dark, rust or brown color in short order.
Caveat Emptor, Capt. Chris
Captain is right, as usual. Best bet is to find an original.

Re: #10 AGM - 04/19/17 06:51 PM
Best plan in my experience is to talk to knife makers at blade that were making knives when this was a used material.

Just wondering if James' dream of a 10/3 in AGM ever came true?

So Blade this year was VERY good to me. I was able to finally acquire the #10-3'' AGM I have been hunting. Thank You to the 3 forum guys that I have a tremendous amount of respect for, even before this ever became a reality! You all make this hobby much stronger with your knowledge and generosity. Luv U all!
As you can see AGM #10-3" DP, with a custom Gutcher Rattlesnake pouch. Very cool combo IMO!!!
